Animated slides
Eric gave a magic lantern talk to second year Fine Arts students at Nottingham Trent University in March 2011. One of the students, Ruby, offered to help animate some of the motion slides. This work is still in progress, and depends on me taking some of my precious slides apart to scan them in; a delicate and slow process. Some of the results so far are shown here.

Note: The slides may take time to download fully before the animation starts. Be patient!

This is a sliding glass mechanism consisting of one fixed background and a sliding piece of glass using black paint to obscure differeing parts of the backgroiund.
This is a rotating image superimposed on a fixed background.
This is the first ever animation relying on persistance of vision.
